    Trotec Cutting Ability

For anyone that owns a Trotec Speedy 100 60w, what is the thickness that could be cut in wood? I would like to be able to cut 1/4" MDF and maybe some other woods like Alder and Cherry. I plan on not using anything thicker than 1/4" in any application.

Trotec or not, 60 watts will cut 1/4" wood. I've had a 40w LS900 Gravograph and have cut plenty of 1/4" wood and plex with it.

I can confirm with a Speedy 300 60w (freshly recharged tube) that it will cut 1/4" with no problem.

Like the fellas are saying, a TT 100 with a 60 watt tube will do a premium job of cutting 1/4 inch , great tube, quality beam profile , nice sharp edge cuts.
    A great choice for a 1/4 cutter

    cheers Dave
    You did what !
