    Accessory Furniture

My father made this lamp in shop class around 1928. I refinished and refitted it recently.

He also made this hat tree which I refinished as well.

To replace a modern floor lamp we had in the same room I made this one.

I made the post hollow to hide the wire and to show QS on all sides.

It's a nice set and brings some consistency to the room, and good memories.

Nice work on refinishing the lamp Tom - I am sure it will be treasured for a long time. I have had a "hat tree" or clothes/coat tree in my bedroom for 30 years. I couldn't live without it. My wife says I take up too much of it. I like the floor lamp - very useful. I need to make one.

Nice job Tom to bring some family heirlooms up to snuff. Is that a tool chest? My tools would refuse to work if I housed them in that luxury.

Nice work, Tom. I often don’t think in terms of accessories...but you’ve got me thinking. Thanks for posting.

That is so cool. I am the keeper of the past in our family. I find using grandpa's tools or having items around as display objects a pleasant reminder of the past.
