Dovetail saw from a gents saw

I thought I'd share what I found. I've been doing some dovetail saw making searching. I was looking up saw handles and this popped up. Looks like a fairly cost safe place to start. If I decide to make one I'll post pictures.

My Gents saw was ~$10 at Home Depot 15 or 20 years ago. The plate is a bit thicker than my current dovetail saws. It isn't the world's greatest saw but it does cut.

This is my first handle build > https://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?180712 < That was with a saw plate 0.030" thick.

My second saw handle is here > https://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?249983 < This saw plate is 0.020 if my memory is working.

One thing noticed in the video is the saw handle extending below the tooth line. If possible it is often advantageous to have the bottom of the handle above the tooth line.
