any experience with Odie's oil and wood butter?

I recently found these products, and was interested in trying them out. They are expensive, so I've been doing some searching. I tried a search here, but I couldn't find anything, and amazon reviews aren't always reliable...

So I wanted to see if any of you have tried either of these products, separately or together on any projects?

I'm interested in trying them on both turnings as well as flatwork, from pens and bowls, to stools and tables. If anything, I am just curious about how well it works, but it is a bit more of an investment than usual to try a finish for me.

So what has been your experience?

After reading their website and product descriptions... both sound like oil varnish blends. Way over priced.

Finishing is an 'Art & a Science'. Actually, it is a process. You must understand the properties and tendencies of the finish you are using. You must know the proper steps and techniques, then you must execute them properly.
