I eventually would love to make a clock. Ron Brese had a lovely wall clock he showed in the cut nail thread. I’d love to see any that the rest of you talented guys have made.

I've made three clocks. The two pendulum clocks were wedding gifts.

All the works came from Klockit, but as I view their offerings now, the parts I purchased are no longer available.

Tony, I've never made a clock case. But I suggest looking at pics of 18th century clocks, many were painted with
decoration. And a ground color first, no wood grain showing. And it was not to save money.
Very nice Mark and Lee!
I love clocks. This is all I have to show for the moment. It’s a small start.

Phil, I like the clock ,but think a 2 square step base would a better fit for that Deco type design.
Made this about 3 years ago from an old bridge beam

Stand for something, or you'll fall for anything.
I make Light up garage signs. This one ended up being a clock also.

Bill, I like that one too. Is the pendulem rod metal or wood?
Good call, Mel. Definitely something I’ll do on the next one. Thank you!
This one is on my list to replicate. Probably this winter.

Sharp solves all manner of problems.
This is a pine version of the walnut clock I posted in the cut nail thread. Obviously shaker influenced. The finishing schedule on this one was fairly involved. Custom dial face, antique glass, and natural backboards.
Ron
Ron, nicely done. And the traditional dial always brings an equanimity to all our hours. I don't like modern "hanging numbers".
But on the Shaker thing....my understanding is they used self winding watches.
