Lot of wood in that one. No help on plans as I just build them as I go. I would build the bottom with drawers first then the ends with the top last. The top would be same size as bottom.
Get some 1/4" plywood and some furring strips, make a mock up. Use cardboard, hot melt glue, brad or pin nailer also. Once you have it looking HOW you want it then work out the joints. Some a sketches on paper or comp all depends on how you like to work
Good luck
Ron
That design has a few problems.
That ladder doesn't work. Not enough room for toes on the rungs and nothing to grab onto. Openings in the solid end panels would help and extending the side rails would be better.
Lots of sharp corners
No way to make the top bunk. A fold down side might work.
A few inches of extra length beyond the mattress is needed for bedding.
Ron's advice is good, only I'd have to precede it with a few rough sketches.
Before you start to build the finished bed, get the mattresses home and recheck your measurements.
