    Byrd Shelix Cutters

I have a Byrd shaper head, which I love! But periodically I'll get a step that develops in the edge. Sometimes I can get it to even out by rotating the cutters, sometimes not. I make sure I clean the seat of sawdust before retightening. I don't use a torque wrench when tightening, I only have a regular foot pound wrench so I guess I need an inch pound wrench as they recommend 45 inch lbs torque.
Any other tips I should know?
    Thanks in advance!
