Finally bought myself a really nice set of knives...

So I had to make myself a respectable cutting board. Funny thing, after two and a half decades in the business, I'd never made a cutting board, soup to nuts. I've done plenty of butcher block remnants, but never started a project expressly to build a cutting board. Nothing fancy, just simple utility.

It's made from 8/4 white oak offcuts from another project.

Outstanding result for a board meant to be used! Congrats on the knives, too...sharp is good!

I've made a couple long grain boards now and it's just night and day how much nicer they are to use than our store bought ones. (And they're not as nice as yours.)
