    adirondack chair finish

    I know I'm opening a can of worms, but... recommendation for finish on cedar Adirondack chairs. I do have an HVLP ( have never used it) 4 stage something, bought it several years ago.

    For outdoor use, a penetrating finish like Sikkens is going to be easier to maintain than a film finish. If you put on a film finish, you'll be stripping to deal with issues and that's no fun.

    Spraying oil based finishes is also a "thankless task" because they are slow drying.

    Thank you jim I was leaning towards spar urethane until I started reading the pitfalls. Not a lot of outdoor furniture experience
