Is there a preferred adhesive/glue for such a procedure? I am intending to use my time honored Titebond. After glueing I will put a coat of some sort of clear finish. Probably a wipe on Poly. Comments are always welcome. Thanks in advance.

For all my inlay work, I use whatever glue is on hand. Any of the Titebonds, hide glue. Just not polyurethane glues that foam (gorilla glue, et at).
