    DXF File Viewer?

My soon to ship CNC (Millright Mega V) had collections of DXF files available for download with no descriptions or info. I bought Vcarve Desktop, have fusion 360 loaded on personal PC and high end cad on my work computer (CREO, Solidworks, Spaceclaim) but I cannot find an easy way to view (preview) the files without opening each one.

Is there a viewer for DXF files I can interrogate the files with simply and easily?

Thanks, tried it and no better or faster than what I have. Hoping for something like a preview in file manager. I'll keep looking or do it the long hard way opening each file

So used to file preview before opening, even Creo has a preview prior to opening a file but it needs to be native format

Irfanview might open it. In addition to the program, to open some files you need to download/install a set of plugins.

Autodesk use to have something called TrueView or something like that I think that would generate previews for dxf/dwg files. I read about this a long while back when we put our CNC in and something with regards to text vs. binary and no easy way to automatically generate and store a thumbnail in the file was the issue. I dont use Autodesk much and never looked at it and dont know if it works across the board or not.

I’ve used AutoCAD’s Trueview on my Win7 shop PC. It works, but I find it slow to load. It does not have thumbnail/preview ability. I’m a long time AutoCAD user but only have 1 copy on my “office” PC.
