    Osmo and Sapele...

I am working on a sapele entry table... wanted to put a finish on it that is a deeper and darker color... like the finish Schwarz uses on his campaign chairs (black wax on the sapele...) but wanted to try Osmo which is a harder more durable finish than the wax... Attached is an image of his chairs... Is there any good way to do this without stain or dye...? I know that Osmo has tinted oil, which may be the answer, but I'm hesitant to buy 3 or 4 different cans at $25 per just to try it out on samples...

    Thoughts...?

i'm a big fan of hardwax oils, and use them routinely (though i tend to gravitate towards odie's oil). BUT, for sapele, nothing beats waterlox. it's absolutely beautiful on sapele. i have ~3000 bdft of QS and figured sapele in my house, all done with waterlox, and it couldn't possibly look better. something to consider.
