No jointer. I just use a sled.
Sometimes I plain without sledding first. Seems to work for my purposes.

That might be part of the problem. I used to use a sled and never had much luck with accuracy. If you have room and the coin, a jointer will increase your accuracy and consistency greatly.Originally Posted by Mark W Pugh
