FS: Miter Shooting Board from Evenfall Studios

Asking $65 shipped to the lower 48 states

For sale is a miter shooting board from Evenfall Studios. I purchased it new 6 or 7 years ago and have only used it a few times. It works great for its intended purpose, which is to shoot 45 degree miters for small furniture size moldings. Note, this will only shoot 45 degree miters. The advantage of this design is you can maintain the reference surfaces because you can shoot from both sides, without having to flip the molding. The holes in the fence are slightly elongated, allowing you to easily adjust it to exactly 45 with a good miter square, or to dial in a miter that's not perfectly 45 to fit to a case. The shoot that the plane rides in is waxed, allowing the plane to glide smoothly. It also has a slot to collect the shavings/dust so it doesn't get caught under the plane, throwing off the angle. Lastly, it has threaded holes to add a strip for the LN or Veritas shooting plane to ride. You could certainly build this yourself, but it would be hard to match the fit, finish, and ease-of-use of this Evenfall Studios version. There is a little blow out on the back of the fence on one side from use, which is visible in the photos. It's cosmetic only, not impacting functionality. This was my mistake because I didn't relieve the sharp arris on the back of the fence before using it for the first time. Overall a nice miter shooting board.
