    Jointer knife thickness

My jointer has knives that are 0.125” thick. Can I replace them with 0.09375”?

    Thanks

Do the 1/8" thick knives leave enough room to get a wrench on the gib nuts? I have an old Delta that uses the 3/32 knives. 1/8" knives will work, but it takes a thin wrench to install. Those older ones were made for the thinner knives. I would stick to what the head was designed for. I expect the thinner ones would work, but I wouldn't bother trying.

I agree with Tom. Spend the time to use the knifes that are recommended by the people who made , built, sold your jointer. Always Always

    Good Luck
