Could be one of several. Posts like this usually get lots of guesses. To narrow it down, shave the end grain with a single-edged razor blade and look at it with a low power magnifier. Follow the instructions in section 7 on this page:
    https://www.wood-database.com/wood-a...ication-guide/

Compare the end grain structure to candidate species on the same web site. For example, this is a typical end grain structure for white ash:

Does the end grain look like this?

Is it a local wood to your area? If so, you might state your area (or put it in your profile.)

John is quite knowledgeable on wood species, and gives good advice.

On first glance it looks like red oak to me - red oak will sometimes have dark streaks in the wood. In fact I prefer it when it has these streaks, I think they add visual interest.

Do you have an idea about where it came from? Is it from the US?

    i think it is local
i also think it is white ash
it is defiantly not red oak
by the way it is crazy hard and open grain wood.
