    Vacuum exhaust filter.

Hello, I have a Craftsman 16 gallon vacuum. The exhaust filter is missing but in the shop/barn someplace. It there something I could rig up until I find it. I want to use the vacuum soon.
    Thanks in advance, Kevin

run it without, I have the exhaust filter/silencer on mine all it does in IMHO is drop the noise level a little bit. All filtering needs to be done in the vacuum drum before the motor/fan

If you mean the external filter for the exhaust, it is optional. If you mean the internal filter that keeps everything you suck up out of the motor there are options. Clean Stream filters fit most Craftsman vacs. Replacement filters may be available at your local BORG. Which are we talking about?
