Simple end table in hickory

Nice. I like the look of breadboards. Hickory is beautiful wood, but can be hard to work with depending on the grain movement and it's always has a lot of knots to work around.

Not always. I don't know how large the trees were that the Hickory that Jay and I have made projects from was, but most of the boards, some up to 6-7" wide and 8-10 feet long, have very few if any knots. I believe that this Hickory was Shag Bark Hickory.

This is true of the boards I have used so far. There are knots, but not many.
