    hinges used in 4-fold rulers?

So you know the hinges used in 4-fold rules? What are they called? I'm going to make a sector out of an old 4-fold rule, but I was wondering if you could buy the brass hinges and what type of hinge they are. Weird, but I've never thought to ask what type of hinge it is.

One is a pinned scissor joint, the other two are folding hinges.

As to where to buy, that may be answered by another consultation with Dr. Google.

Here is a useful chart for use with a four fold 24" rule:

You might try "Henderson Hardware" in Fort Bragg, Calif. I don't have their phone number. They make a variety of brass hinges of very good quality. I don't know if they make the specific type of hinges you are looking for.
