PM 66 motor removal, tips or advice?

The motor on my 1986 PM 66 requires repair. At first glance it appears to be a straightforward procedure but we all know things are often not what they seem. Any advice or suggestions to make removal and replacing as easy and trouble free as possible?

If that is the table saw it is a c-mount motor. You may have to remove the pulley first. I would cut the power cord as close to the motor as possible. Add a short pigtail cord at the bench. Ad a inline female receipticale on the stub cord left on the machine.

This might help. I just removed mine, but it was the first time so I don’t qualify as an expert.
