    Red face This is "screwy"

Maybe I need a short break from woodworking. I got an email from McFeelys with "A guide to woodworking screws" and I read it!☺

PS how do you spell screwy or is it screwey? Whatever it is, I'm reminded of an article I read a long time ago in Fine Woodworking about glue.

Woodworking can lead us to some pretty obscure subjects

I did read the history of the Robertson screw head. That was several pages. I learned it was earlier then the Phillips by several decades and The fall of the Russian Empire stopped it's worldwide ambitions. Cadillac was the first car to use phllips screws.

Obscure? Possibly. Silly? Maybe. However, learning something about hardware definitely bumped my craftsmanship up a notch.

It has never bothered me to take a little time to read something.

If it is absolutely boring, it may reward me with a nap.
