    Shaker side table

I’m mostly a lurker but with all the side tables showing up in here lately. I figured I would post mine I finished couple months ago. It is air dried walnut with 4 coats of danish oil as the finish. These are fun projects I had built it’s twin about 2 years ago I think this one turned out much better.DA18BC97-030A-4F0B-A02C-3D5B6C032632.jpg43F41B93-2EA3-4880-A15D-D88673F55832.jpg3EB5F8A6-1AB5-45FF-87F6-7D5EE3D46160.jpg3BA6D255-4803-454C-BDD1-7E0BFF4B68A6.jpg4B0B1924-8868-4749-A3A0-1EB955D74D3D.jpg

That's a very nice rendition of what is one of my favorite styles. Kudos on those dovetails, too! What's really nice about this design is that you can easily scale it to a hall table and other forms, too.

I tend to build a lot in shaker style. I like the simple clean lines. It’s looks nice but not so nice you don’t want to use the piece.

Well done Tony, the walnut has a rich caramel coloration, which I assume is due to the air drying.

Nice work. The color and dovetails definitely caught my eye!

Very well turned out. The beveled top makes it looks light, as do the tapered legs. The wood grain is excellent. Great pieces like that will be around a long time.

Nice and clean look to it. I've made a couple with slightly wider tapered legs, because I thought the standard design left feet too small. But I see these look perfect proportion.

Very nice indeed. And as someone mentioned, that AD walnut really shows some of the colors that are lost with KD walnut. Much cleaner and vibrant color.

Very nice work Tony. I like the clean, understated yet elegant look in furniture and that has it.
