    Gentleman’s Chest

Gift for my best friend. The lettering on the inside of the lid is an inside joke from one of our favorite movies. My take in a gentleman’s box influenced by campaign furniture.

What a fine gift! I do think it would benefit from some more metal trim, as I always associate that with campaign stuff .
I will never forget seeing G Washington's campaign stuff ,when it was exhibited at Yorktown. His tent was there too.

I like it Josh, but wonder if it needs a stand to rest on - bring it up to pouring height? I think that would keep it in the campaign camp. It definitely brings an era to mind - Brits hunting in Africa, Teddy traveling out west with his cowboy crew, behind the trenches in WWI.

So simple, clean, and well crafted. Great work. This is definitely in line with much of the furniture I saw at the camps on safari in Africa.

Thanks for the compliments. David, a stand is an awesome idea! Wish I’d thought of it. I’m planning to make another version for myself that includes a humidor. I’ll definitely build stand for it.

What a cool chest Josh - and wonderful construction. Gives me an idea for a new humidor. Thx for posting it.
