Jet 1640 owners: Oneway 16" banjo to replace stock banjo (not stable)

My research indicates that some people have no stability issues with Jets stock banjo for the 1640. This is not the case with me. Love the lathe...Not too impressed with the banjo.....after fiddling around with it, Ive found out that it could be more secure. Mostly use a Robust j shaped. Being an excellent rest, one would expect better results/steady cuts etc...the further down the rest, the less stability I have with cuts. Irritating at best. fwiw, this was not an issue when used on a previous Grizzly I had.

For anyone who has a Oneway 16" banjo for this reason, what success have you had? Problems? Ready to make the purchase and looking for a competitive price... $250 is about the best I can find.

    Thanks everyone. Happy Fathers Day
