I was just at Menards over my lunch hour and happened to see they have liquid hand sanitizer for $8 for 1/2 gallon. This is the 80% alcohol formula made by a distillery. It appears every Menards stores has 100+ bottles in stock. The store I was at lists over 300 bottles in stock.

This isn't particularly inexpensive compared to what hand sanitizer cost before the pandemic, but it is available and the price is half or less of what distilleries in my area charge to buy it directly. Distilleries locally charge between $30 and $50 a gallon for hand sanitizer. I was getting ready to buy a gallon soon from a distillery for $30. Menards is a lot closer than the distillery and the price is less too. A coalition of local distilleries is selling 32 oz spray bottles of sanitizer at local grocery stores for $12.99 each. They are using the profits to provide free or cheap sanitizer to first responders, healthcare, and non-profits. Any profit after that goes to food shelves.
