    Paint color mixing tool, online

I used to have it saved but not anymore. I had a program that allowed you to mix paint colors together and see the results. I can not find any online that have more then the three primary colors or just brown and blacks.
I was surprised rustoleum etc don't have more then a colorwheel to look at and a discussion of color theory. I guess they want me to buy a new can of paint and have their machine match mine. But what if I want a new color and do not have a sample for them to match?

    Try https://painthunter.com/

You pick a color from the color wheel, and then it will search and find the closest paint color to it.

Do keep in mind that unless your monitor is calibrated, what you see may not be the actual color in real life...and even if it is calibrated, it may not exactly match. Nature of the beast.

Monitors can differ a lot. I have 2 monitors on this computer and have given up trying to get colors to match on them. I wouldn't want to use either one to select paint colors.

I know different monitors show colors different. I just want an approximate recipe and then I will adjust from there. I am trying to match a old dleta/crescent machine gray. Massey Ferguson gray is too dark, rustoleum smoke grey is too light. And I need to add a little blue maybe even some green.
Tractor supply has light ford gray but not dark ford gray? Ford light grey is much to light.
Those two links do not have gray as a starting color.

Gray is just black with white (all colors) added. On the paint hunter tool, just click in the black ring which should set the color to 0,0,0. The use the slider at the right to add all three primary colors evenly to get the approximate shade of gray you want. Now use the color sliders to adjust for any tint you want. For example, to add a little blue tint, advance the blue slider.

I forgot grey is just white and black mixed. I used 5 plus 5 white and black then added 3 blue to get something close to delta grey online. Now I will play around with real paint and skewers to count drops. Thanks for the help.

Thanks fort the help. After going through this and getting a good match on the motor cover to the base I discovered it had been repainted. I had not carefully examined the part under the cover. It is darker and less blue, if any. So the original paint would probably be a good match to Massey Fugesson Gray from tractor supply.
