    change in start page/

For the last week or so whenever I come to SMC I get an opening page that seems to be aimed at unregistered users. I have to click on an icon on the upper right and then I get the normal SMC pages. I'm a paid user. Has something changed? I use Linux Mint 19.3 as an operating system and have been using it for a long time before this change. Thanks. -Howard

I'm a paid SMC member too and also use Linux Mint. I haven't seen any changes on my opening SMC. Maybe you inadvertently hit a radio button?

Haven’t seen that or any change. Maybe show a screen shot?

As others have indicated no changes have occurred here at SMC.

First off go into your browser and delete all the SMC cookies. Then go to SMC via https://sawmillcreek.org/forum.php Make sure when you log in to check the remember me box so you won't need to log in the next time.

Let us know if you continue to have problems.

Good morning. Lee, I did as you said and it took me to the normal start page. When I tried to log-in with my name and password at https://www.sawmillcreek.org/forum.php instead acting normally it took me to a page that said this:

    vBulletin Message
    Invalid Redirect URL (https://www.sawmillcreek.org/forum.php?)

from there when I clicked on Forum I got the Forums page and I was properly logged in. If you have a way to get around that I'd appreciate it, otherwise I can certainly manage the extra clicks. Thanks.

Don't use the "www" in the URL. The correct URL is exactly as Lee shows. Clicking on any link in the "www" version will take you to the SMC website without the "www".

Lee, Mike (above) suggested that and it works like a charm. Thanks for your help. -Howard
