Very nice indeed! What a wonderful project. It looks great. Are the metal parts available aftermarket, or did you salvage some from an old drum? They look new in the pics.

Nice project! Are wooden drums preferred for a particular kind of music? Is the sound different enough from metal or synthetic shells for a non-percussionist to hear? (I ask, having listened to countless hours of discussion of banjo rim materials and construction methods)
