    Laser tube cleaning from algae

    Hello,

    Initial data: CO2, 100Wt

With the regular change of distilled water in the cooling system of the laser tube once per month, an algae deposit gradually forms on the inner surface of the laser tube.
I have prepared a set with a pump, citric acid powder and distillate for washing the laser tube. Proportion of citric acid powder per water is 40 gram per 1 liter of water.
After 24 hours of running of the pump, almost nothing is change, I have black colored algae(maybe dead blue-green)threads that stuck at joints on the inner surface of the laser tube.
Please help me to clean up this issue, may be I should change a proportion or wait more longer.

    Thanks in advance.

Strong Chlorine bleach mix with water, run until the algae is dead. Many changes of water until its all flushed out. Water and chlorine added to final mix and leave it in.

I've actually switched to aquarium chemicals. My thought is if it's safe for fish it's safe enough for the laser.
So far I've had the same water in there for 2 years and it's still crystal clear.
These are the 2 chemicals I've been using.
