    Can you find the bird?

I took my dog Rudy for a walk this morning and he went on point in the middle of a field. I walked over to where he was and initially didn't see anything. He relocated and stopped about 3 feet short of the bird before I finally saw it in front of him. I managed to take a photo with my phone.

For those that don't know, the bird is a woodcock and it was sitting on a nest. The bird and nest were not harmed.

Yup, right in the middle. Looks like she’s really relying on her camouflage!

This could be a fun diversion, I'm sure many of us have pics with near-invisible 'things' in it

    Lee,

Though I have hunted birds, I had never seen a woodcock. Locally we have 2 types of quail, pheasants, chukar and several types of grouse in the mountains to hunt. Though we have doves, I am not sure if doves are legal game.

Saw it right away, but in the field I probably would have walked right past it! Thanks for sharing!
