    Deleting an old post by request

    Good Day;

    I posted a thread in Neanderthal Haven titled "Mel from Knots!" in which I was looking for information on a person. I have since found and contacted him thanks to the amazing members on this forum. He did ask that I remove his personal details from the post I made to protect his privacy and I would really like to oblige but posts can not be edited after 24h, as you know. Is there a way I could get temporary permission to remove his details or just have the whole thread deleted as it is dead now anyway? Same as the thread I posted in the carver forum on the same question with the same name but which got no replies. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!

    Craig

    A PM to a moderator can usually get that done. Just hit the little triangle at the bottom of the post to "report" it and include the above in your message. I've done this to tidy up my classified postings.
