Egads Jim.
That first set of "handyman" pictures makes my skin crawl jus looking at them. Quite a nice set of candidates for Darwin Award though.

After some years of living and working around the world, I have to say that none of this surprises me. But I do now have some great ideas on how to get high enough to clean my gutters . . .
Well, I hope that's not always true. I've done a thing or two back in the day that were at least as dumb as some of those pics. Like installing a light fixture while standing on the very top of an 8" step ladder with 2 legs on the stairs & the other 2 legs setting on paint cans. And nothing to hang on to or steady myself with. That was 45 years ago & I'm still getting the sweats reliving it.
I just hope I've learned not to anymore.
Those pics all made me pucker something fierce.
I used to work across the street from a meat processing plant. One day the air ambulance lands in the parking lot. One of the workers did exactly what that guy did, only trying to stuff a chunk of meat into a grinder. They had to fly a surgeon in to amputate his leg below the hip to get him out.
Pretty grim.
"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."
- Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965)
