    Given a choice between eating a slug and getting one temporarily lodged in some personal fleshy blubber....most would go with the blubber.
    And ....strangely there would be LESS blubbering.

    The common garden snails in California were imported from France during the goldrush by a Frenchman who started a snail ranch near Silicon valley. He was going to get rich selling them to rich miners in San Francisco. He went broke and they escaped in a stampede.
    Interesting to look up the sex life of a snail.
    UC Santa Cruz's mascot is the banana slug.
