    Thin Air Press from roarockit

After seeing this product used by Tom McLaughlin on one of his YouTube vids, I thought I would give it a try. I’ve only used it on flat panel surfaces, but must say, I am truly impressed. This company specializes in skateboard work, but this veneer vacuum bag system has started to get the attention of general woodworkers.

Here’s a recent table project in the bag:

Results have been very good. For the occasional veneer project woodworker like myself, I find this to be a a great option, and certainly easier than the cauls and clamps method I’ve been using. And all for under $100.

I have no association with this company. Just wanted to share my experience.

+1. I use mine for inlay and marquetry. Easy to use and works great.
