I don’t build guitars, but my daughter just picked up a Martin that has Siris wood on the sides and back. Sure is pretty and apparently has good tonal qualities. Anyone use this wood species?

No, but I love my Martin guitar!
Siris sounds like it probably sounds good according to Martin - "As a species Siris is related to and shares many tonal characteristics with Koa. Siris offers a clear, balanced tone which falls somewhere between Rosewood and Mahogany in both volume and amount of overtones."
