Going to be building a game cabinet for my kids playroom and want to use some integrated finished end panels to match the drawer fronts. I have built shaker style panels before and used 1/2 inch ply to make the back of the panel flush with the stiles/rails but I am going to use a different profile this time and I dont think i will be able to use the 1/2 inch ply since it would stick out past the stiles/rails on the back so I plan on just using some 1/4 ply. My question is about attaching the drawer slides to end panel side. I am building FF cabinets and plan on having to block out the inside with some 3/4 ply to get flush with the inside of the FF. Will having the blocking attached to the stiles of the end panel be ok? I have included some pics of the sketchup design and the door profile i will be using. Any tips are greatly appreciated.
