    bandsaw tension for metal any different.

    If you use the same bandsaw to cut metal and wood with a transmission for speed changes. Do you tension a wood blade. and metal blade to the same force for the same width blade? I realize you set it to the book recommendation then fine tune the tension so it stays on track.

    I have a 14" Delta Wood/Metal BS. I set the tension the same on the blades I use for cutting metal as those for cutting wood. Neither is very high, about 12,000 psi; that saw can't muster a whole lot of force on a 1/2" blade.
