    Dewalt hole saw mandrel

Will a Dewalt hole saw arbor- mandrel- work with a Klein hole saw or other than Dewalt hole saw?

While I don't have a dewalt mandrel, I have lenox mandrels and hole saws from lenox, milwaukee, and dewalt and they all interchange. The sizes above an inch or so have a threaded center hole and two other holes that engage the pins on the mandrel. The smaller sizes just have a threaded center hole. I'm pretty sure they are standard, at least on the higher quality brands.

My experience is they are all interchangeable on the two basic mandrels,as Paul stated.

For ones large enough to use them, get the kind of mandrel that has the two retractable drive pins. Before they came out with those, it took a couple of pipe wrenches sometimes to screw a large hole saw back off the mandrel.

Lennox, Dewalt, Klein, Ideal, GB, and any other pro grade hole saws are all interchangeable. Some of the goofy stuff sold at the big box stores aren't though.
