    Small dovetail walnut box.

Hi there. I havent posted on this forum for quiet a while. Wasnt to much active with social medias and forums.
So I decided to share a dovetail box I made back in 2015/16. It was my first box I made so it has some imperfections.

Impressive box Mark. The proud dovetails add to the character, imo.

Looks great to me. I appreciate the grain wrap and use of that variegated wood. I'd be proud of those proud dovetails.

I'm curious to see how your design sense and crafstmanship have changed from 15/16 to today.

Very, very nice box Mark. Definitely not the run of the mill design in addition to a nice use of the wood patterns. Then we get to the lid pull - again a different look that works for me. I like it. I know it is just a "show off" photo, bit please don't leave that saw leaning up against the lumber stack. You knew that already - sorry for even bringing it up. More boxes please.

First time hear they were called proud dovetails . At that time I was thinking should I leave them like that or straighten them with the curve. It just came naturarly.
I will upload more boxes and other stuff I made this days. TBH, I am still trying to find my self in this vast expanse of traditional woodworking ideas. All I learned is that years have to be spend of constant practising and gaining experience, and sometimes not having enough time to dedicate 100%, is realy frustrating . It is kinda more of a mindfull then phisical aproach for every project thats coming. Thats the beauty of the unplugged, and waiting for the new challenges and how will you execute them.
David, thats my workbench where the saw is leaned , but glad you brought it .
