    Hints on Used Epilog price

Have a relatively local to me guy selling an Epilog Helix, 50 watt, 2012 machine. Tube roughly a year old. Supposedly original owner, no other items to go with it other than a blower.
Used before Christmas, sounds like was well used a few years back but less and less the last few.
Any ideas from you guys about fair pricing. Yes, I'll test run it a bit to make sure it is operational.
I do worry about being 8 years old and control boards and other wear items.

I would think $5000 to $6000 would be reasonable.

My rule of thumb is find out how much the machine is new. Then find out how much it would cost to basically rebuild the machine. Belts, bearings, rails, electronics, lens, mirrors, boards, tube etc. Subtract the new price from the parts/rebuild price and now you have a price the machine is worth, more or less.

Yeah, never mind..... $12K, I was thinking about what Mike was saying.
Maybe $7k tops, but he's WAYYY off.
I can buy another smaller Chinese CO2 (500x800 or maybe larger) and another Fiber for that and have a LOT of change left over.
    Oh well.....

I agree, that's out of line. There's was a guy about 2 months ago trying to sell a 45W Trotec Speedy 300 with a bad tube for about $5,000. With a tube recharge, that would be in the $6,000 range, so I'd think you were right on your pricing thoughts.
