    Delta mini lathe, bed extention

I picked up a Delta mini used for a good price. I was wondering if other than Deltqa bed extentions will work on it. You can pick up midi/miini bed extentions that look the same for about half the price of the Delta branded ones. And I am hopeless cheap.

I don't have experience with that lathe or mini lathe bed extensions. I have a bed extension on a Powermatic 3520b.
Assuming the mounting holes are identical, the bed gap and thickness are critical or the tailstock may not slide or lock down properly.

Hopeless cheap might benefit from hopeful experimentation. Can you buy the cheap one with a return policy?

For really cheap, maybe you could do what this guy did:

You might be able to find his blog on lumberjocks, Shop Made Lathe Bed Extension,
