    plate of stung beech

    Hi all

Today I show you how to make a plate of stung beech.

Unfortunately, the piece had a drying crack.
Luckily I could repair it with black superglue and came to an quite good result.

    Diameter 34 cm
    Height 5 cm

A beautiful plate. "Stung" is another word for spalted? What part of the country/world is it used in?

Don't you just love google translations???? Spell Check does not recognize the work spalt...... Kind of surprised that you do a lot of cuts from the rim of the bowl to the base when turning the outside. Most go from the base to the rim. Seemed to work well for you though.
