    Laguna 18-36 Vacuum fitting thread

Hi does anyone know what thread size is tapped into the outboard end of the Laguna 18-36 spindle shaft to take the vacuum adaptor. I haven't been able to get the adaptor in Australia and Laguna won't send one from the US. I will have to make my own
    Thanks

I called Laguna Tech Support and they gave me the info for the same thing. For the life of me I cannot remember the size, but it is a standard male thread pitch. Maybe a 5/8. I got the fitting in the copper and brass section of a local Lowe's. I cobbled mine together buy making a wooden bearing holder and inserted two bearings, one on each end. I then attached the fitting into the bearing center and epoxied the fittings into place. I works very well and saved me around $75.
My Dad always told me "Can't Never Could".

Carey, just went to the shop and checked. It is indeed a 5/8-11 UNC brass fitting. Hope this helps.
