Anyone heard of the Bucktool dual speed bench top grinder

It fits the bill for what I need, a variable speed grinder that I can bring down to 1725 to grind plane blades, etc. just doesn’t seem to be any info on it. Has anyone heard of it or, better yet, used one?

    Thanks!

Haven't heard of this brand but it has a good feature. Most multisided grinders are variable speed. The torque is roughly constant so the hp goes down with speed, making them about useless at half speed, if they will even go that slow. This 2 speed design implies that it will provide full power at half speed.

That’s a generic 2 speed grinder, like the Jet Grinder, Rikon, Grizzly, etc. Made in the same factory in China and relabeled.

That’s a pretty good idea. Another option would be to mount a VFD to a 3 phase bench grinder.
