Dewalt DW 733 Planer Cutter Head Conversion

Does any one know if a new rotary head is available replacing the standard knives for this model?

Seems like a lot to spend on an older benchtop planer. Personally I’d invest in a bigger floor model planer, but I understand you might not have the space.

Yes the Byrd Shelix head is available, but expensive. I bought and installed one in my DW735, took about 40 minutes. There's lots of good YouTube videos showing the full installation in great detail.
