    Traditional tail vise, non-traditional wood holding.

    One benefit of the traditional design, a great way to hold poles for a spokeshave.

    I must say if there was anything I wish I had planed into my bench, it would be some sort of a tail vise. I work around it, but as you’ve shown, it can make a number of things much more convenient. I’m jealous.
