    Tool Sellers Pretty Pictures

One of my enjoyments is to look at pictures of old tools and read about them.

Patrick Leach's monthly list of tools for sale is my primary source not only for great images of old tools but a short write up about the tool and often the maker.

Some how from my web surfing today another old tool dealer popped up > https://oldwoodtools.com/tool-photo-tour < This is the page with a bunch of pictures.

Just incase there is someone besides myself who enjoys 'tool porn.'

I am a tool pornoholic. Thanks for the fix Jim! I thought this was for a site that sold vintage hand tools. Still the pics are excellent.

I looked at the Bode site and wow, I have a small fortune in hand tools.

For one thing, I have a wood box filled with a full set auger bits.

Often my tool accumulation is viewed as an emergency savings account. Though it is unlikely they would bring the full retail prices like Jim Bode and Patrick Leach demand.

There is a box of auger bits in my shop with extra bits and bits bigger than 1". Then there is one with a set of Irwin bits and another with a Russel Jennings set. If decent bits are seen at yard sales at a low enough price, they always get a ride home.

Saw a boxed set of Irwin augers in a shop a few days ago. Most were in decent condition. Some were not the originals. It was priced at $20, and placed back on the table for someone else.
