    A couple of more vases

    One in walnut, one in ash. Finished with Danish oil.

    Very nice, interesting design. Something that would make anyone stop at take a second look.

    How are the individual pieces joined?

    Is the insert for the flower stem a glass test tube?

    The parts are just edge glued with a dowelrunning through the middle. It helps with alignment and serves add the pivot point. The tubes are common glass test tubes.
