    Walnut blanks - 2 x 2 x 12

I have a supply of walnut spindle blanks, 2 x 2 x 12 inches. I'm looking for suggestions for projects that would use these blanks.

    Thanks.

I use 2X2 stock for handles for Rockler or Woodcraft screwdriver kits, beer tap handles, bodies for birdhouse ornaments, ring holders, etc.

Plates and/or platters. You could cut them into 2 by 2 by 6 inch pieces and get smaller plates/shallow bowls.

I bought 4 2x2x12" walnut spindle blanks (just like you have) and I glued them together to make a 4" diameter x 12" high ogee-curved big vase. I made it to accept a 1" glass test tube so that I could put some flowers with water in it.

I like Walnut for segmented projects. Throw in a few pieces of curly maple and get creative.
