Wink 20” Disk Sander Dust Collection

The dust collection on my 20” dust collector is horrendous. Curios to see if anyone has improved this and how?

The pattern shop my 37" dual disc sander came out of, added a bunch of extra ports at the bottom an actually made a hood that pulled from the top as well.

Replace that dinky dust collection fitting with a 4" round to rectangle fitting (6" would be better). You could probably find something close in the HVAC aisle at your local borg. It's all about volume.

Thanks. I run 6" to most of my tools, but was hoping someone has an proven and working design for how to rig this up. Probably going to have to build some type of enclosure for it because it's a really dusty mess!

4” pipe with slot cut in top and left end mostly closed with tape. Works pretty well.

My 15” Oliver picks up well with a 4” duct. Looking at your picture it seems like the outlet is on the wrong side if the disk is rotating clockwise.
